Nellie has now visited an eye specialist and fortunately will not have to have the eye removed. She has been spayed, prescribed special eye drops and generally given a good check over. Due to the cost of her specialist treatment we now have a large vets bill of neatly £300. £166 is still outstanding so anything you can give would be appreciated. If any monies are raised above this then we will let you know and can return the money or put it towards the next case.
"Please meet Nellie.
She is an approx 14 year old Jack Russell who was found after being dumped with a pile of rubbish in someone's garden.
She
was very thin when found and has a severe eye problem that will need
treatment. At the moment she has been put on eye drops, but when she
arrives she will be visiting an eye specialist in Essex who will then
decide the best course of action.
We also need to discuss spaying as she will be very prone to Pyometra (infection of the womb) at that age.
She has already had blood tests and they have come back good and her heart and lungs are good.
She will also be microchipped as a matter of course and have her vaccinations when she is strong enough.
Nellie is currently in Ireland and should travel over this Friday :) "
