Ben is a German Spitz who originally came into rescue because his owner had stroke and her daughter didn’t like him.
Ben is a quiet dog who loves his walks and socialises well with dogs outside the home.

Unfortunately due to a previous bad grooming experience (before coming here) where the groomer accidentally cut off part of his anus with the clippers, he does not like his back end being brushed or washed so it is important that he is kept clipped so he needs clipping off with the hair round his back end being kept short.
Ben is a very affectionate and loving dog for most of the time, but has extreme fearful moments so we feel it is best for him to stay in rescue as a sanctuary animal.

Ben is part of our Sanctuary Animals scheme, in which we look after animals that cannot be rehomed due to medical or behavioural issues. If you would like to contribute to the welfare of the animals in this scheme, we are appealing for people to contribute £2 a month via (or whatever you can afford) via Standing Order, to ensure these animals are safe and well looked after for their rest of their lives.
